Social Etiquette

I prefer friends with proper social etiquette, i do not like rude friends who don't know how to treat others. It also reflects how mature a person can be. 

This are some of the social etiquette that i follow everyday, not to make friends, but merely just to give myself a better image.

1. Whenever engaged in a conversation with someone, be sure to finish it before leaving. Do not just walk away to join your other friends nearby.

2. Whenever eating a meal with someone, always wait for your friend to finish his meal. Walking away is a very rude thing. I assure you that he will never eat with you again. 

3. Whenever someone compliments you, no matter how much you disagree, always smile and say thank you. The person probably did it as a kind gesture, so pay him back with a kind gesture too

4. Whenever criticized, just take it as a man. In your mind, you are who you think you are, only god can judge you. 

5. Dont do things to attract attention, or fish for compliments! Some people like to do things out of their character to attract some attention, it normally looks foolish and you create a bad impression. Never fish for compliments, let them come to you themselves. Dont start telling everyone how ugly, or unsuccessful you are, most of us will not give a shit about that, we will think that you are just saying that so people can compliment you..

At Ease

So, today is the end of the hard papers of prelims! Haven't blogged for quite awhile because of prelims..i hope it paid off! It would be great to see some results for my prelims so i feel better for my Os.. So i had to celebrate the end of this few stressful days by having some alone time in Starbucks..

So recently i have been watching The Great Gatsby.. and it really did help improve my descriptive writing by alot!I also learned that the key to writing a good piece of essay, story, or a piece of english writing isnt to squeeze in a ton of vocabulary, but to use alot of descriptive text, metaphors and similes. Watching the great gatsby over and over again has helped me learn alot of ways to describe things! I used that in my essay and i hope it pays off! (Ill upload my essay on the blog when i get it back)

The Great Gatsby

I watched the great gatsby last night and I've got to admit that it was one of the nicest modern movies from this century! Its has amiable story line and its elegantly dressed gentlemen make the movie seem like a beautiful classic movie from the 19th century! Toby Maguire's narration skills was not professional but it fit the movie perfectly! I was always a fan of Leonardo Di Caprio's shows! He played the gentleman character rather well, making the movie a really beautiful one! It just had a rather unsatisfying ending!

Lana Del Rey sang a really good official soundtrack for this movie! The song partly made the movie a success! Her voice is just so beautiful and unique from the other singers of this generation! She sings rather depressing yet relaxing songs! If you can relate to her lyrics.. you are pretty fucked up! Haha!

Another fire... lol

Yea so a few weeks ago i blogged about a fire that occurred near my home. Well a few mins ago another fire broke out like 10 metres away from where the old fire used to be! Same fire size, but this time it was easier to put out as it was just burning off some wood..

Today was quite an interesting day.. Some 98.7 DJs came to my school to kinda promote themselves or something. Bobby Tonelli and Rozz. Rozz had some pretty interesting tattoos! But im not really a fan of word tattoos. And the rest of the day was just pure studying.. Im attempting to do some maths right now.. but my attention span is extremely short...
I kinda made up my mind on which dog i wanna adopt after im done with all this exams and stuff! Im going for a West Highland Terrier..

Long Weekend

So there was a long holiday weekend.. it was good! Needed a little break from school stuff... :) 

So last Wednesday, as predicted, the National Day celebration in school was bad. Lucky for me i absent myself from it! 

I came to school later in the day to attend my juniors ROD (Relief of Duty) Ceremony! It was great as i saw many of my batch mates and seniors! It has been awhile since i have seen them. After the ceremony, we had a batch lunch together at KFC! We all regretted it! Haha

Later at night, i joined my juniors for a horror movie "The Conjuring"! We went in a big group, about 12 people. But i took the "Manly-ire" seat in front with 2 other guys! Apparently it was suppose to be one of the most scariest horror movies ever.. But i felt that it was not as scary as i had anticipated.. The audience in the theater was laughing at the movie and making comments about the stupid things the character in the movie did, so i guess that spoiled some of the trill. 

Well okay, the next day was a really productive study day, i managed to finish a chemistry paper, a maths paper.. I've never did so much in one day before since my PSLE haha! Laziness is really a curse :(

I decided to reward myself with some saints row 3 later at night! Took a long and relaxing sky jump from the highest building in the city! 

Sunday was an exciting day! We had a family steamboat together with my grandparents and my aunts! The usual steamboat procedure.. Lots of abalones, scallops and stuff, > Durian > Wine.. 

And today, i spent $30 on a collection of St Pats School Badges! It comes in a really nice box and it has all the badges since St Pats was founded! Its kinda pointless and a waste of money now, but in the future, after i graduate, the box would probably be a piece of treasure! It may even sell for a $100! 'Potest Qui Vult' That will most likely be one of my tattoos!

My Story

My life is pretty dramatic, normal people have really simple lifes, doing the same thing every year, same principles etc.. But i seem to have experienced the different types of life! In primary school, i was a rather cheerful kid. I had no signs of social awkwardness etc.. i could talk to anyone in the school, like literally anyone.. just walk up to the nerdiest guy in the school or the fiercest guy and i could start a conversation..We started a catching game one day, there were only about 10 people playing.. But soon we managed to get about 20 people to start playing! It was really fun! The most memorable time of my primary school!

Then I got to secondary school, my first day at school.. everything was going well! Then i saw the older boys at school.. It was chaotic.. i saw someone throw a real full force punch at another student.. As a 13 year old, i had never seen something like that outside a TV screen before.. It was shocking.. Students smoking in the toilets, on the way out of school.. it was like there were no rules! I became alot timid then, everyone was taller and bigger sized around me.. I tried my best to fit in, but no one wanted me.. I was a loser, a loner.. Well.. not to a large extent.. i still had some friends around me, and i was still quite social. One fine day at school, i was sent out of class together with about 6 others for not doing homework.. My primary school friend was sitting behind a chair smiling at his phone with 2 other guys, there were watching something funny i thought.. So i went over and.. wow! It was a porno! At the age of 13! It was my first badass moment!

Then, at sec 3.. things began to get interesting! I got along with so many of my classmates! It felt great! Then i mixed with some wrong company, well it some ways wrong but im glad i met this people! Hanging out with this people was really fun! I picked up smoking soon after and i skipped school with them and hung out at a nearby cafe alot! I learnt to shop lift too! They shared alot of their school stories, personal life and childhood stories with me.. I had another group of friends who often organised chalets.. There i learned to drink alcohol! I also started to go for concerts, kpop concerts, heavy metal concerts, indie concerts! I had a blast! At the end of the year, there was a class chalet, i sat at the porch of the chalet, with a few other guys, we were puffing on our cigarettes while listening to a playlist of house/electro music. Sitting there, staring at the carpark and some greenery from the golf course.. It was extremely nostalgic! At night, there was a gambling session, bbq, loud music to dance to, ghost story telling and lots of beer! It was a really fun party.. After the class chalet, there was another chalet i was invited to, the morning was pretty normal, just regular gaming, smoking, bowling, eating and shit.. the fun started in the night. After a scrumptious dinner, we took walks around the changi area, smoking and talking. It was really relaxing! Then back at the chalet! The drinking session began! I took a bottle of bailys, and drank a mouthful of it. Then i went into the drinking room. My friends took a bottle of half filed Chivas Regal and poured in some green tea until it was filled to the rim. They gave it to me and told me to drink it. I took the bottle and gulped down several mouthfuls of liqor. To my surprise, i finished half the bottle.. Then it was time to cut the birthday cake, so we all went downstairs. As usual, we did it the way boys usually celebrate birthdays, we threw cake at the birthday boy.. That lead to a mini catching game around the whole of the changi resort as the birthday dude came chasing us around with cake.. We ran around holding cigarettes and hiding behind bushes and trees. I was lucky to escape with just a little but of cake on my black shirt.. At the chalet, more bbq, gaming and gambling sessions.. As I sat by the TV, with a can of beer watching people play Modern Warfare 3, one of my friends signaled me to come upstairs.. I was already a little tipsy at that time. In the room, there were about 7 people.. He poured a shot of  X.O i think.. (Could not remember :P) It was more then a shot.. i drank about 4 shots then one of them told me to do some kind of jump to test if i am high enough.. So i squat down and looked at the floor for awhile. And on the count of 3, i jumped as high as a could... It was really cool! I felt as if i flew up into the clouds, but coming down was the hard part.. I couldn't balance and just tumbled onto the floor.. (The jump literally felt so slowed down that you feel like you're in the air for awhile) Then we went down, i couldnt balance, i sat at the majong table. There, one of my friends uncle poured me more shots and forced me to drink it... The next thing i know, i lost control of my sober mind.. I started just drinking every alcohol shots i saw.. I couldnt even remember how many i took.. Then i didn't remember much, just lying on the toilet floor trying beat every guy who tried to come near me.. The next morning.. i found myself lying on the floor in the room, all wrapped in a blanket..The morning was terrible.. the hangover was intolerable.. i still felt tipsy, i was dehydrated, there was a splitting headache.. I only felt comfortable while lying down somewhere.. Everyone went bowling while i lay in the chalet to recover.. The sight or smell of alcohol made me feel like puking..

A few days later was a concert! 'A Day To Remember' One of my classmates called me and told me that they may me giving out free tickets if we stand outside the concert area.. So i went down to fort canning park.. We waited there for awhile but.. Nope no free tickets! We heard the band playing but we could not see them.. we were missing out on all the fun.. We circled the whole area trying to find a suitable place to sneak in.. I found a spot easy to climb but also very risky as it was about 50 metres away from the main entrance. A really wild mosh pit and smoky night! My Puma shoes were ruined, stained with soil from the moshing...

And sadly, that was the end of my 2011.. the best year of my life.. 2012 came..i was a retainee.. no more of my fun classmates! I found everyone in class really lame.. Only a hand few of them were acceptable to me.. the rest behaved like typical kids.. There was no more of that 'Adult-ish' feel anymore.. It felt more like a school again.. people behaved like kids who couldnt keep still, trying to make funny jokes to attract attention.. I hated it.. Every recess i sit with my classmates and it kinda pains my heart to know that i will never be able to sit in their class and enjoy jokes together with them anymore.. Out of boredorm, i started massive shop lifting with a group of friends.. i smoked alot too! We definitely looted more then $100 worth of stuff.. I neglected studies, skipped school alot to game or to play pool.. But this time.. i scrapped though.. and made it to sec 4... 

Here i am now in 2013, Sec 4.. I talked about how i feel about school in my first blog post.. Its sec 4.. i decided to stop all the stupid things i had been doing.. I quit smoking, never did any of those Thug things anymore.. Didn't attend anymore concerts.. I am becoming a nerd.. I am not liking it at all! Everything is getting so boring.. Im starting to become more and more social awkward from the lack of social interaction.. Im sitting here at 2AM blogging like an idiot because i dont hang out with people anymore.. But im saving all this.. The moment O's is over! I will be partying like a wild animal! Well i hope i dont go fully nerd enough to change my mind and stay nerdy forever :P
